Thanks, but are you able to change the settings such as having the
fire/flame effect when closing windows or is it just Desktop Effects
with no ability to change the behavior of windows actions? Also, are
you running Fedora 9?

Yes, but when I make a change, I don't get the desired results. All
changes I make with CCSM are ignored.

you can changed the settings too
just look for it a little bit! they are all in the config dialog!
