Yum problem revisisted!
Hello all,
I posted a message earlier and the suggestion I got did not solve the problem. Here is the output of a yum update command: [root@linbook2 ~]# yum update Loading "fastestmirror" plugin Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile atrpms 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00 (process:7450): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_timer_stop: assertion `timer != NULL' failed (process:7450): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_timer_destroy: assertion `timer != NULL' failed Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/yum", line 29, in <module> yummain.main(sys.argv[1:]) File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yummain.py", line 105, in main result, resultmsgs = base.doCommands() File "/usr/share/yum-cli/cli.py", line 278, in doCommands self._getTs() File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/depsolve.py", line 77, in _getTs self._tsInfo.setDatabases(self.rpmdb, self.pkgSack) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 526, in <lambda> pkgSack = property(fget=lambda self: self._getSacks(), File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 381, in _getSacks self.repos.populateSack(which=repos) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/repos.py", line 242, in populateSack sack.populate(repo, mdtype, callback, cacheonly) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/yum/yumRepo.py", line 167, in populate dobj = repo_cache_function(xml, csum) File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/sqlitecachec.py", line 42, in getPrimary self.repoid)) TypeError: Can not create db_info table: database is locked I have completely removed and reinstalled yum, yum-metadata-parser, yum-utils and still the problem persists. I have tried yum clean cache and yum clean all and still no joy. I have insured that no lock files or pid files exist for yum. I have also completely removed and reinstalled the sqlite rpms. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated -- John Registered Linux User 263680, get counted at http://counter.li.org -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@redhat.com To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list |

I am considering trying a post on the yum list, I am sure one exists.
