I'm running Fedora-9 with KDE.
I find about 60% of the time when I shutdown
KNotify crashes, and I have to close the crash window
to complete the shutdown.

Does everyone get this?

Clicking on Back Trace in the crash window
tells me there is nothing useful to report.

I get it occasionally, but I don't shutdown or log off very often so I
couldn't estimate the frequency.
