If we can also take this time to start recruiting photographers (with
decent cameras) to take photos for the Fedora Picture Book[1], that

can have a ton of great photos from the contributors in that region. I
think advising people of this on the wiki page would be great.

Definitely, Ian. This will be a part of what we do at FUDCon and
LinuxTag in Berlin. It's the best opportunity we'll have in 2009 in the
Europe region, especially with master photographers like Nicu and
Francesco Crippa there

My plan is to participate and take as many photos an I can, but I still
have to arrange some details.
I expect we will also have as photographers Luca Foppiano, Dimitris
Glezos, Nils Philippsen and more. We will dwarf the amount of photos
from Boston

If a Canon EOS 450D is decent enough I could make some photos as well.

Makes sense, since you guys have actual release forms and this will be
planned out more than a week or so in advance

It is more than "decent enough" (and is the same camera model I have
too), looking forward to your photos!
