Andrew Hutton, organizer of the Linux Symposium (formerly in Ottawa, for the next 2 years in Montreal), has invited Fedora to host some form of event concurrent with this year's Symposium, the week of July 13. There was some positive interest on this when brought up in December, but then it went silent. Is anyone willing to take this on and drive such an event?

I would love to pick up on the idea of hosting FedoraCon here in Montreal (I'm actually here for the weekend) and try to get something firmed up if possible.

I don't recall the previous conversation, but since Max has been
suggesting FADs[1] (Fedora Activity Day)[2], this might be a good fit.

I live close to Montreal and can help with logistics if needed. I will be attending the
Linux Symposium too.

Sounds good. Is there a wiki page up for the symposium? If so maybe we
want to go ahead and add something about this on there or create a new
page if nothing exists?
