Default Account in Fedorapeople.org and planet fedora

Hi

I am sorry if this is not the right forum to ask this question. My Name
is Balaji and i am a fedora contributor. I am part of the Ambassadors,
Docs and bug triage team. I am planning to set up my blog and i just
would like to know whether i am eligible for an account in
fedorapeople.org which in turn would help me to add my blog to planet
fedora. I was unable to find my name in the fedorapeople.org .Should
i do something to get my name added there or i am not eligible for it ?

My FAS login ID is balajig8

Thanks,

Cheers,
Balaji

To have your name on fedoapeople.org, just login to fedorapeople with
SSH and mkdir ~/public_html .
Maybe you will also need to touch index..html. Your name should appear
soon after that.

The front page of fedorapeople.org only lists people that have HTML
content there. By virtue of being a Fedora contributor (the technical
requirement is CLA done and at least one other group in FAS, which you
meet), then you already have an account on fedorapeople.org. Just ssh
to the box, using the SSH key that you uploaded to FAS, and create the
.planet file. Note that the planet is not actually using this new
configuration mechanism yet, but it will in the near future. If you
want the blog added prior to that, just send a mail to
admin@fedoraproject.org

Did you try to login to fedorapeople.org via ssh with your FAS username and
the matching ssh key?

You can create a new one and upload it to FAS, e.g. with:

ssh-keygen -b 2048 -t rsa -f ~/.ssh/id_rsa_fedora_2008-05-23

Then upload ~/.ssh/id_rsa_fedora_2008-05-23.pub to FAS.
