Default thank you for the laptop[ sleep alert

Hi,

Apologies for mass distribution. I installed Fedora 9 on my laptop
today, and after a few minutes it gave me an alert that my system will
not shutdown if I close the lid. When I was consulting, I was
terrified that I forgot to configure a laptop to shutdown or
hibernate when the lid was closed, and imagined angry customers with
melted laptops coming after me

So thank you all very much for adding this alert!!

Regards,

Murray.

I remember getting a similar message that was like "Some program is preventing your laptop from hibernating". It was nice, but I was screaming, could you please let me know *which* application was that! Not sure if you guys got something similar

Regards

That is almost certainly packagekit doing updates.

Sure, that message sucks. There's a bug open here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439219
