QTDIR -> 3.3?
 

pkg-config --variable=prefix qt-mt
/usr/lib64/qt-3.3

Is this correct on F9? Shouldn't be qt4?

This is used in /etc/profile.d/qt.sh

Seeing that /etc/profile.d/qt.sh comes from qt3, I would say that
returning /usr/lib64/qt-3.3 is the only sane thing to return. :)

$ repoquery --whatprovides /etc/profile.d/qt.sh
qt3-0:3.3.8b-12.fc9.i386

that's qt v3. This is qt v4's version:
pkg-config --variable=prefix Qt
