Which does all sorts of futzing with page tables.
Chances are it can't cope with the changes done in .25 to support PAT.
(Though I've seen it cause numerous cases of corruption in even
before these changes).
If I were a betting man, I'd put odds on that module being the cause
of your problems.

According to their change log here http://virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog
Linux additions: compatibility fixes with Linux 2.6.25
