Default Launcher/Shortcuts broke?

How exactly is the launcher specified ? Is it on the panel, or on the
desktop ? Please file a bug with those details, this is likely fallout
from the gnome-vfs > gvfs transition.

This is Right Click on Gnome Desktop, Create Launcher.
