Default Unresponsive maintainer for libical

Hi,
I realized that the maintainer of libical, Debarshi Ray, seem to be
unresponsive for quite a long time, not doing updates for libical.

There are filled two bugs with a request to do an update, the first [1]
from 2009-09-27 notifying about a release of 0.44, and then
the second [2] from 2010-08-31, notification about 0.46 upstream release
(upstream skipped 0.45). These updates are fixing also other issues
which might be visible in applications using it.

There are opened only 4 bugs (including these two) against libical in
Fedora.

I know I'm not following the NonResponsiveMaintainer policy closely, but
I believe, in this particular case, it would be with no gain.

I'm fine to take ownership of the libical package and do releases for
it.
Bye,
Milan Crha

Copying him directly.* He did do a recent Gnote upstream release.

I am orphaning it in PackageDB. Please take up ownership.

Thanks,
Debarshi

Hi,
thanks. Could you give me a link to the proper PackageDB page, please?
I seem to lose it and I do not have much idea how to find it. (Bad of
me, I'm sorry).
Thanks and bye,
Milan

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/

Then you need to login and search for the package.

Personally I just go to http://bugz.fedoraproject.org/packagname and
click the "Package Info" link.

Hi,
thanks both for the link.

I see [1] the libical is not orphaned yet, neither in devel, nor in F14,
as I "only" can add myself to the package, but not take ownership as
with other orphaned packages.

I'm keeping this on the next Monday.
Thanks and bye,
Milan

Well, currently it has a maintainer (and a comaintainer for the Fedora
branches) and neither of those people is Debarshi. You are welcome to
add yourself to the package but I don't think the intent was to simply
remove all other maintainers from the package.

This is the URL you want to have in your Firefox bookmarks

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/list/*%s*

With proper keyword attached it would make you searching for packages a
breeze.
