Can you verify that this change does not cause 495802 to show back up?
There's a screenshot attached to that bug so you can see what the
problem is.

It's like this on Metacity:

- without the change the window starts in the centre, but expanding it
doesn't keep it there, i.e. the right border is closer to the screen
edge than the left border.
- with the change the window is moved back to the centre when the drive
list is expanded. This should help us avoid 495802.
