Default Looking for co-maintainers

Hi,

I heard it's a good practice to have at least two people working on one
packages (so that e.g. one does not have time to solve some critical
issue due to being on vacation, the others maintainer steps in and solve
it). Therefore I am looking for co-maintainer(s) for these packages:

gxine [all Fedoras, EPEL5, originally requested also EPEL4, but there
are missing deps (namely xine-lib)]
xine-plugin [all Fedoras]
subtitleeditor [all Fedoras]

Any one willing to co-maintain some of those?

Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin,

I'm looking to get into packaging for Fedora.* I will be upfront with you.* I have ZERO experience but I'm an experience C and Java developer and I've been using Red Hat since 6.2 as a desktop.* If you don't mind helping me get up to speed, I'd be happy to help you maintain gxine.* BTW, gxine is something that I use frequently on my laptop.

Let me know if you'd like to give me a shot.

Thanks,

Tim Spaulding

Yeah, that would help both thanks to your experience in C and your
frequent usage of gxine You need to be a fedora package maintainer
first though, which means someone needs to sponsor you (I am not a
sponsor myself).

I'am interesting in "subtitleeditor" so I can help. You can write

Default looking for co-maintainers

Hi,

My life is about to get very busy (twins on the way), so I want to make
sure I at least have co-maintainers for all (or most) of my packages.
Anyone interested?

escape -- puzzle game

fvwm -- window manager

gkrellm-weather -- plugin for gkrellm

htmldoc -- converts html into ps or pdf

minirpc -- a new RPC library

mlton -- optimizing compiler for Standard ML

vips -- image library, prereq for nip2

nip2 -- non-destructive lazy image editor

Thanks,

Adam

I will apply for co-maintainership for these 2, but don't count on me, I
already am maintainer or co-mainaintaier of too much packages to be able
to act timely on new packages.

Hi,
Â*
Â*I would be interested for the following :
Â*
1) minirpc
2) htmldoc [ if available ].
Â*
IÂ*am a newebieÂ*member of fedora dev, but could not contribute till now, due to my professional work load. Guess this would be a good chance, if given.
Â*
Please let me know, if any concerns. If possible, please let me know the wiki link for the same, so that i can start.
Â*
Â*
Regards
Roopesh.

Good luck :-)

I added myself to F9 and devel (not much interested in F8 at the
moment since it's about to go out of support).

Rich.

Read my OCaml programming blog: http://camltastic.blogspot.com/
Fedora now supports 68 OCaml packages (the OPEN alternative to F#)

Thanks! F9 + devel seems to be what everyone is doing.
