Default long-standing "can't connect to windows shares" bug...

Hi guys.

I have had problems connecting to Windows shares from nautilus
(Places->Connect to server), since F9 was first released.

The problem is described in
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=448008 but the bug has seen
no activity for a few months now.

Am I the only one hit by this problem, or is it in fact not possible for
anyone to connect to a windows share from nautilus in F9?

I'd really love for this bug to get fixed in F9, but (at least) equally
important, is having it fixed in F10 release.

Am I alone here (in which case I must be able to tweak stuff on the
windows servers to get things going)? Or is this actually a problem for
everyone, "depending" on Windows files servers (in which case the bug
deserves a little more attention imho)?

Thanks for any feedback!

/Thomas
