I'd just like to offer my support for this feature, and automated
emails [not too often though!] about problems.

Rich.

I don't disagree, to an extent. However without that, which is a much
longer term project, we should still have info about what breakage has
already been done, rather than waiting on bug reports to come in. So we
can get to the reactionary world today, while working on the proactive
world for the future.

Of course putting all these checks into the updates push isn't going to
help getting updates out any faster.

I took this morning and early afternoon to write up an e:n-v-r
comparison script that uses koji information as the basis of it's
comparison. I've got it compat-complete with the output of the old
script, and it runs in about 3 minutes to compare from f8-final all the
way up through rawhide.

That is fantastic, thanks very much for the work Jesse. Much appreciated.
I would say I'm looking forward to seeing the output, but I suspect it may
make for some uncomfortable reading all round

Just a quick thought:
in order to keep the namespaces separated, wouldn't it be smarter to use
pungi@package.fedoraproject.org instead?

That would be a question for the people setting up the alias. Right now
it's <package>-owner@fedoraproject.org

We're all ears, but I thought package-owner was easier than a whole new
subdomain.
