If that is how you view rawhide... what is your interpretation as to

Ah! I wasn't aware that that mono-1.9.x was actually a preview of Mono
2.0. Indeed, It looks like it provides all the same stuff and doesn't
involve an soname bump, either. That's totally reasonable, then - at
least for F9. I've got no objections there. Thanks for correcting me.

likes of gtk-sharp2 and gnome-sharp)

afaik mono-2.0 is not released yet...

No but the first preview apparently hit yesterday according Miguel's blog
