Default Connecting to the Net

hi all,

now that i have edubuntu set up and running (thanks, everyone!), i'd like to add access to the internet. i need to buy a nic, presumably a gigabit nic. how do i set it up so that the switch and the internet nics play nice?

tia...

ps - the day care lab is working so well, the school may well use the same edubuntu configuration for their main computer room.

You can either :

- connect the dsl router on the switch and keep just one nic on edubuntu
server. BUT then you must stop the eventual dhcp function on your router
because there is already a dhcp daemon running on edubuntu.

- add a 100 mb card on your server and connect it on the dsl router. use
a different subnet for the two cards (192.168.0. by default for ltsp,
and 192.168.1. for the router and second card).

In both cases, clients will access immediately to the internet.
