Default lucid ltsp nbd_swap doesn't work

Fix released in LTSP 5.2.1.
Christian, you also need to update your chroot, as outlined in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/UpdatingChroot
Are you still experiencing the problem with ltsp 5.2.1-0ubuntu5 that is currently in the Ubuntu Lucid repositories?

** Changed in: ltsp (Ubuntu)
Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released

Bug description:
In Lucid Alpha 3, NBD_SWAP = True option in /var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/lts.conf doesn't work, temporary files are not created in /tmp.
It works fine in Ubuntu 9.04

Default lucid ltsp nbd_swap doesn't work

Open /usr/sbin/nbdswapd (it's a shell script), you'll see the following:

if [ -f /etc/ltsp/nbdswapd.conf ]; then
. /etc/ltsp/nbdswapd.conf
fi
...
SIZE=${SIZE:-"64"}

So I believe it's OK. Can you paste the output of
cat /etc/ltsp/nbdswapd.conf
on your server?

Default lucid ltsp nbd_swap doesn't work

On a terminal, try the following:
$ SIZE = 64
SIZE: command not found

Putting spaces around the "=" means:
run a command named "SIZE" with two parameters, "=" and "64", which of course isn't what you want.

So change it to
SIZE=64
