I installed Ubuntu 8.10 Alternate Alpha 6 as a LTSP server.
Everything else seems to work out-of-box (sound, Vinagre, auto login
etc), but usb-stick does not. This very same hardware (server, thin
client, usb-stick) works on the Ubuntu 8.04.1.
Here are some ltsp/chroot messages on the Ubuntu 8.04.1:

Thanks for this report. Have you filed a bug in Launchpad.net with this
information? Can you also include which hardware is used on the clients,
the output of dmesg from the clients would be useful if you can get it.
