For the type of message it seems to be related to the glib library. Anyway, 12.x is now old ;-), have you considered an update to the latest version available (now 13.0.1)? Google returned this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=738549 Not sure if it could have any link with your problem, though. Sorry...first time it went private :) Minutes after I wrote the above Thunderbird prompted me to DL 13.0.1....so I did. No change still getting pages of the messages. Wonder why no one else is reporting it? For a while Firefox was doing something similar. but that has now stopped. -- Cheers Frank -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? The above error looks similar to yours but the report is for Firefox, I may have overlooked the first time, sorry. Anyway, see if you can trigger the message warning when you open the address book, as it says the bug reporter. > Wonder why no one else is reporting it? I don't know... I'm more than used to see all sorts of mozilla warnings and errors in my "~/.xsession-errors" file, though I'm using lenny: (thunderbird:3457): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_clipboard_set_with_data: assertion `targets != NULL' failed (thunderbird:3457): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_clipboard_set_with_data: assertion `targets != NULL' failed (thunderbird:3457): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_clipboard_set_with_data: assertion `targets != NULL' failed > For a while Firefox was doing something similar. but that has now > stopped. Yes, they came and go, that's why I never bother (unless I were experiencing another visible problem, of course). Anyway, see if you can trigger the message warning when you open the address book, as it says the bug reporter. All I have to do to trigger a flood of error messages is to open Thunderbird :) Wonder why no one else is reporting it? I don't know... I'm more than used to see all sorts of mozilla warnings and errors in my "~/.xsession-errors" file, though I'm using lenny: (thunderbird:3457): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_clipboard_set_with_data: assertion `targets != NULL' failed Yeah me too. It's just that in this case my xsession-errors log grows to 300-600 k after a long session. Oh well, I'll just stop worrying about it :) Thanks -- Cheers Frank -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
