Default regarding debian join to window server2008r2 active directory

dear sir/madam
actually i am using first debian os .i impressed with
its great functionality,but i want to know that if i use it in window
server -client environment,will it work as a client of window
server2008r2 like another window client.if it will work similar to
window client what are the procedure to join window server2008r2
domain.please solve the query

You'll need Samba.

There are many articles in the web detailing the steps for configuring
samba to join a windows domain, for instance:
