try playonlinux. It brings wizards to install programs... and it
includes a wizard to install office 2007 if its really necessary to
install malware in your computer

Heh, I would have replied:

sudo aptitude install openoffice.org
==or==
sudo aptitude install libreoffice

I do like wine for playing that pinball game on XP though...

I don't know specifically how to fix your problem, but if you run
winecfg you can change the version of windows that wine will pretend to
be.

..Microsoft Office _2007_??? Why that old junk, when you can have
_todays_ LibreOffice (OpenOffice) or K-Office or Gnome Office for
free, and legally?

..dunno about that wine problem, but if you want the _best_
"office" suite, try 'aptitude search office |less '. ;o)

The error message is too short to see what the underlying problem is.
Anyway, MS Office 2007 package can be very problematic to install even on
bare, up-to-date Windows systems so in Wine is has to be a real pain.

In addition, you're on a 64-bits host which can also harden the
installation so, all in all, have you considered in using a virtual
machine instead? If you have enough resources (~2 GiB of RAM and an
modern CPU) VirtualBox could be a good candidate because is almost config
trouble-less.

> How do I fix this problem?

I now that sometimes MS Office is a requirement but as another user has
pointed out, have you considered LibreOffice instead?

Greetings,
