(II) R128(0): Monitor0: Using default hsync range of 31.50-37.90 kHz
(II) R128(0): Monitor0: Using default vrefresh range of 50.00-70.00 Hz
(WW) R128(0): Unable to estimate virtual size
(II) R128(0): Clock range: 12.50 to 250.00 MHz

It seems to me like Xorg is not detecting your monitor and is using
default values. You probably only need a section "Monitor" with hsync,
vrefresh and dimensions (if you care about a correct DPI).

Kind regards,
Andrei

On a second thought, maybe you should try again without an xorg.conf.

Kind regards,
Andrei

Now you tell me! Never heard of the Linux-Thinkpad ML before. =8~)
Google was finding umpteen copy-cat commercial sites with unhelpful
information.

When there is time, will follow up with Knoppix as Andrei suggested.

Contact him directly, it is probably the only way.

Yes, will happily test revisions to r128 and report.

According to a recent page at http://www.phoronix.com/ only one
developer continues to work on r128, Connor Behan. Is there
a forum or wiki for r128 that I didn't find? Do you mean to
contact Connor directly?

Thanks, ... P.
