Default Alt+smth Shift+smth

hi, all.

in a pure console (wheezy) i am trying to use org-mode (emacs), a lot of actions are performed with hotkeys like "Alt+smth" "Shift+smth". It does work in GTK-window of emacs, but not in a pure console: for example Alt+right arrow changes tty (instead of changing subtree level), Alt-Shift-RET works like Alt-RET, etc. so using org-mode is impossible now

does anybody know how to adapt pure console hotkeys for working with org-mode? thanks.

You can use Esc instead of Alt, if that helps you. Release the Esc
key before pressing the next one, though

Best regards,
