firefox seems to be going nuts
 
firefox seems to be going nuts. it's very often hogging 95% of cpu, with no
let up. and when i do a 'ps' for it, i get:

Try starting ff in safe mode (firefox -safe-mode &), and see if that
makes a difference. If it does, start removing/disabling extensions.
