A search on 'error prepared flip multiple times' shows you are not alone
and suggests a way to suppress the error involving a drirc file with
vblank_mode=0.

Sorry for the word wrap. This is an error from the Intel driver
that I have seen before, but never while watching streaming video.
I am going to file a bug against the driver but is there a way to
prevent this (error being logged) in the future?

But it would seem that somebody should be watching out for the fact that
filling syslog till no space is left in the partition is useless. I
recall in te past messages in syslog to the effect of "error <xx>
occurred xxx times". But I don't see those anymore.

Trying it now - as I mentioned I haven't seen this error in a while,
but it's back with a vengeance

Thanks for the tip.

Mmm, logrotate routine for syslog should be launched "daily" but has no
restriction on the log file size so unless that function is already
embedded in the kernel/rsyslog the size of the log file it can become
very big.

Well in my case they are back Aaapparently Intel thought it had
solved the problem - obviously it hasn't - the bug has been filed by others.
