Default eeepc-acpi-scripts update & breakage

I made the mistake of upgrading eeepc-acpi-scripts (to 1.1.11)
and some things have stopped working. Notably
- Fn-F1 used to suspend to RAM, it's now a no-op,
- likewise for closing the lid,
- Fn-F7 used to toggle the backlight, it's a now a no-op,
- guessnet has become a boat anchor.

What is one supposed to do to get them back ? Thanks in advance.
