Default Why do I get /usr/lib64 on a 32bit machine?

$ dpkg -S /usr/lib64
libg2c0-dev: /usr/lib64

On my system, this package is the dependency of g77-3.4 nad g77. Since
I don't really code in Fortran, I have just removed them.
