I got the same type or error for mirrors.kernel.org, sent an email to
debian-mirrors@lists.debian.org, got a thank-you, so it seems a good place to
report this error.

I switched mirrors, so it only affects some mirrors.

This seems to be a problem with the mirror itself, and hopefully to be fixed (if not fixed already).

This issue has also been reported on the debian-mirrors mailinglist.

That fixed it. Sorry for the bother. Thanks for the solution.

Dear all,

I installed squeeze and at first empty /etc/apt/sources.list and then
put the following line in that:
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian sid main contrib non-free
So, when use apt-get update , i prevented to the following error:
E: Release file expired, ignoring
http://ftp.debian.org/archive/debian/20100820T150149Z/dists/sid/Release
(invalid since 10d 4h 40min 14s)
Then i use the following command and my problem was solved:
aptitude -o 'Acquire::Check-Valid-Until=false' update
Then i upgrade to sid!
Now, Whenever i use apt-get update without above option , i get the given err,What's happen in my pc?

How can i solve it forever?

Any reason why you are using ftp.debian.org as an archive? Was it
offered as a mirror when you installed Squeeze?

I suspect your mirror site is broken.

Instead of the really generic ftp.debian.org use a country specific
mirror. That should solve your problem and also speed up your
connection. For example I use ftp.us.debian.org. Here is a list.

http://www.debian.org/mirror/list

That doesn't seem to match the line you posted from your source.list
file. Do you have any other files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* ? You
might. And those might be causing you trouble.

> How can i solve it forever?

Try a different mirror site. Check for extra files in sources.list.d.

Bob
