Patch 1 and 2 are standalone things. Patches 3, 4, and 5 all go together.
I guess they could all go to f14-branch but none of the bugs fixed are blockers.
Note that the last set of patches will require changes to build tools; namely,
pungi will need to pass --isbeta to buildinstall up until the point where
we would normally turn BETANAG off.
