Default VMware v7.1 on Debian

Hi,

Anyone here has positive experience with VMware v7.x on Debian?

I'm experiencing the same symptom as this:

Can't compile Workstation 7.01 modules on Debian Squeeze
http://spininfo.homelinux.com/news/VMware_Workstation_6.5/2010/05/18/
Can_t_compile_Workstation_7.01_modules_on_Debian_S queeze.

Basically, when I run

vmware-modconfig --console --install-all

I get an error saying that the "gcc and linux headers need to be
installed", although both are actually installed.

thanks
