Default Segfault in smbpasswd

Smbpasswd returns a segfault with libc.so.6

Using gdb, ruturn this:
#smbpasswd user1

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
---Type <return> to continue, or q <return> to quit---
[Switching to Thread 0xb7ab56d0 (LWP 31569)]
0xb7c5a922 in free () from /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6

#uname -a
Linux hera 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP Tue Mar 9 17:35:51 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

This reads like a bug report (with some missing information). Are you
trying to ask why it segfaults?

What version of samba-common or samba-common-bin (backports only)? What
about libc6? Have you been mixing releases?
