Default dormant package maintainer

Hi,

What's the recommended way to deal with dormant package maintainer?

The following bug has been reported for over 2 years, which is "an
extremely easy fix". Patch is also available.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=431297

However, the problem still remains:

$ mp3rename -v -p f1.mp3
mp3rename: invalid option -- 'p'
Mp3rename

please comment.
thanks
