I can't really help you with links, but I am very happy with the
following in my mailcap:

text/html; w3m -I %{charset} -T text/html -dump; copiousoutput

You need:

# view html mails as text
auto_view text/html

somewhere in your .muttrc and the 'copiousoutput' flag in your mailcap
entry.
