Default avahi-discover doesn't discover (in one way)

On a laptop that was working, but that have remained
unused for a long time, avahi doesn't want to work any more.

I've reinstalled it on the laptop with
apt-get install avahi-daemon avahi-discover libnss-mdns

There is three computers, the network is not "configured"
(= avahi is no conf)

The adsl box doing the dhcp-server part.

When I do
avahi-discover on the desktop it finds every one
the laptop included

When I do it on the laptop it finds only itself
