Default avi to swf format conversion in Etch?

Hi guys,
My ultimate goal is to convert an .avi to a .swf video file. ffmpeg
does't support the swf format and the standard version of swftools, in
etch, doesn't include avi2swf. So I tried to compile the swftools
source, after installing zlib1g-dev, but I get

make

cd m4;make all
