Hello,
I just subscribed to the mailing list. I net-installed Debian 6.0 on
an Asus eeepc 1215p netbook and everything seemed ok, including
updates of the kernel and firmware to access the net.
However, after an update of several packages (appart from kernel)
including wicd, and knetworkmanager a kernel failure message pop-up
window appears on the screen from time to time.
Some additional info you might request, before quoting the kernel
failure message:

Eso está bien ;-)

Yeah, I suppose the bug can be triggered by many ways, leaving the
networking system in different stages but both traces share similarities
in the log registry and both involve the same kernel module...

Try the latest 3.2, which both Debian and Ubuntu will stabilize for the next
stable releases, and which is currently being supported upstream as well.
