please give an update on a recent kernel >= 2.6.24
either via etch+half or in a lenny install

yes it is. as there are not many ISA testers out there
the bug might still exist. you'd want to test latest
upstream supported that is currently 2.6.25
also if you can reproduce please file in bugzilla.kernel.org
and let us know the bug number.

Jack, does this error still occur with more recent kernel versions?
