i see that erlang built fine on spontini lately.

this bug contains allmost no info about the presumed linux-libc-dev
failure, can we close it!?

Spontini is UltraSPARC II. Erlang always builds fine on spontini. It's
lebrun which causes problems. So, the bug remains open.

ok then how about collecting some real info instead of a
"I think that it's a kernel bug"
that be great.

I don't have access to UltraSPARC III. And nobody can help me either
to give an access (though I'm not a kernel hacker, so it might be
useless) or help in debugging the bug. The only info I have is a
message from an erlang author who confirmed that it works fine on
Solaris at US III. So, I can't do much for this bug.
