Hello,
The kernel handbook does not document anything about the linux-tools package.
I am trying to find out how to build linux-tools using pristinge upstream sources.
Kernel: Linux 3.6.0+ (SMP w/6 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash
debian-kernel-handbook depends on no packages.
Versions of packages debian-kernel-handbook recommends:
ii chromium [www-browser] 21.0.1180.89~r154005-1
ii epiphany-browser [www-browser] 3.4.2-2
ii google-chrome-unstable [www-browser] 24.0.1290.1-r160787
ii iceweasel [www-browser] 16.0-1
ii links [www-browser] 2.7-1
ii lynx-cur [www-browser] 2.8.8dev.14-1
ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-8
debian-kernel-handbook suggests no packages.

There is currently no way to build a linux-tools package from upstream
sources, so we can't document it.
Ben.
