I did before reporting this bug, but just because, I will do so again
now:

grave

makes the package in question unusable or mostly so, or causes data
loss, or introduces a security hole allowing access to the accounts of
users who use the package.

I had specifically mentionned why I set this to grave:

1. it affects other parts of the system, the clock
2. it causes data loss (it "breaks" the time)

It seems to be broken for many users, as we can see from the thread
here.

I will bump this back to grave, feel free to mark unreproducable.

There are 3 separate "users", which I would qualify more as "admins"
which are reporting this bug, but a lot more users are affected than
this. If you want, I can organise the users of those domUs to voice
their frustration with the shifting time on their virtual servers.

This affects a *lot* of users.

Attached. I assume you mean the kernel logs from the dom0, let me know
if you need the domU output.

I do not think this is related to the firmware. We have similar problems
on *all* of our machines running Xen, regardless of the CPU or
motherboard installed on those machines. Identical machines *not*
running Xen do *not* exhibit this behavior.

With modern kernels (since this is kernel not hypervisor dependent)
independent wallclock is the default and only option -- so the option
has disappeared.
