Default Bug#679039: Reproducibility

With the 3.2.0-2-686-pae (Debian 3.2.20-1) kernel, prob(crash | module
insert) ~ 0.9, more details below.

I decided not to do separate recovery/non-recovery boots. Instead, I
made sure pata_via was blacklisted to allow module load under more
controlled circumstances.

Logs were captured with netconsole (with possible packet loss in a
couple of cases).

The DVD writer had no media present in all cases.

Scenario A, libata dma=1:

Tried this several times.

modprobe pata_via

Scenario B, allow DMA, but remove module immediately after loading

Tried this once only, could be a coincidence.
