This bug is still present for me in the latest kernel version in Debian testing (3.1.6).

The last properly working kernel version seems to be:
http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20110217T214513Z/pool/main/l/linux-2.6/linux-image-2.6.37-1-orion5x_2.6.37-1_armel.deb

And the problem occurs since:
http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20110301T040946Z/pool/main/l/linux-2.6/linux-image-2.6.37-2-orion5x_2.6.37-2_armel.deb
