Default Bug#639354: 3.x linux kernel image boots fine, however crashes very soon

Package: linux-image-3.0.0-1-sparc64
Version: 3.0.0-2
Severity: important

i've got an ultra 10 running debian gnu/linux (sid), i tried the 3.x kernel,
and that one crashes after a short period...

root pts/0 krum.ethz.ch Fri Aug 26 10:59 still logged in
reboot system boot 2.6.32-5-sparc64 Fri Aug 26 10:57 - 11:51 (00:54)

root pts/0 krum.ethz.ch Fri Aug 26 10:27 - crash (00:30)
reboot system boot 3.0.0-1-sparc64 Fri Aug 26 10:26 - 11:51 (01:25)

root pts/0 krum.ethz.ch Fri Aug 26 09:55 - crash (00:30)
reboot system boot 3.0.0-1-sparc64 Fri Aug 26 09:54 - 11:51 (01:56)

any hints?

Here's a hint: use reportbug, and include a log.

As Ben suggested, please send:

- a log (using netconsole, serial console, a camera, or some other method)

- information about the hardware and drivers used (for example by
attaching the output of "reportbug --template linux-image-$(uname -r)"
produced by a working kernel)
