Default Bug#623088: Options tried.

I have tried advice found on the web about similar problems with Acer 5735Z.* This was to add "i915.powersave=0 pci=noacpi" to the boot line (GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/default/grub).* This certainly got rid of screen flicker, and reduced the frequency of the system log being flooded / reboot failure, but did not eliminate the problem which still occurs seemingly at random.* The longer the computer runs the higher the risk, and it seems to me that having ac power and battery on at the same time increases the risk / frequency.

Cheers, Neil
