I can confirm this bug on on my HP Compaq 6715s. Also happened with kernel upgrade from 2.6.32-30 to 2.6.32-31. Had to downgrade back, on 2.6.32-30, the points are:

$ cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/TZ1/trip_points
critical (S5): 105 C
passive: 95 C: tc1=1 tc2=2 tsp=100 devices=CPU0 CPU1
active[0]: 75 C: devices=C399
active[1]: 65 C: devices=C39A
active[2]: 55 C: devices=C39B
active[3]: 40 C: devices=C39C
