It's supported in the kernel now. It's not supported in the installer
yet (there are open bugs for this already).

Can you point me to those bugs so I can follow their progress please? I really like to get my last year
Christmas present working before upcoming Christmas!

I had a look at the debian-installer bug tracker and didnt see anything relevant.

thanks a lot for your help

Antonios

Which device are you interested in? Buffalo Linkstation Live (LS-CHL)
or Buffalo Linkstation Mini (LS-WSGL)?

Is this different to the normal Pro? If so, it's not supported by the
upstream kernel and your best bet is to start by adding kernel
support.

I am not sure what the differences are. I have successfully booted it
with foonas (http://foonas.org) via tftp and there it appears as a
linkstation Pro in the dmesg logs. Same with debian but the Sata drives
are not recognised.

And SATA works with Foonas? Maybe you can find out if Foonas has any
patches for this device.

My assumption is that this device is simply not supported. If SATA
works with Foonas, please open a new bug report.
