Bug#617453: linux-2.6: restarting doesn't always work on Dell Latitude E6400
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.37-2
Severity: normal
When I want to restart (reboot) my Dell Latitude E6400 laptop, the
machine sometimes remain on without restarting. The last message
on the console is: "Restarting system."
The problem doesn't always occur. I don't know the conditions.
Perhaps when the laptop has been suspended and resumed previously.
Kernel: Linux 2.6.37-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash

I hit the same problem with aDell Optiplex 360, except it nevers works ( Prints "Will now restart", then "Restarting System", then I have to poweroff the machine to restart it...).
