Default Bug#461924: firmware-iwlwifi: Microcode SW error with 4965

Package: firmware-iwlwifi
Version: 0.10
Followup-For: Bug #461924

I am seeing the same message, and experiencing intermittent connection
failures, with a 4965 wireless card. Not all failures are associated
with the message, and I think I sometimes get the Microcode SW
error on start up, but it does not seem to interefere with the card's
operation initially. I can't immediately find examples of the SW
error message on startup, so I might be mistaken on that last point.

The problem seems to have become more frequent since I went from a
2.6.22 to a 2.6.23 kernel. The latter, but not the former, supports
Intel's ICH8 audio (which shouldn't be relevant, but who knows?). I
have bluetooth and wired ethernet, though the latter is not
connected. Dell Latitude D630.

The failure is sometimes preceded by a period of apparently weakening
signal strength. Since rebooting, and sometimes simply reloading the
drivers, fixes it, the problem is likely on my machine rather than the
access point.

Upgrading to 0.10 from 0.9 doesn't seem to have helped.

Here's a bit of kern.log. In this case there's only one Microcode SW
error message. lspci output appears at the very bottom

Of course, this might be a different problem from that originally
reported; it might even be a couple of different problems in itself
(e.g., the Microcode SW error and the dropped connections).
