Default Bug#603550: Acknowledgement (linux-image-686: My Intel 82801H sound card is doesn't work or linux-image-2.6.32-5-486 and linux-image-2.6-686)

I have got a good news:
This day morning I installed debootstrap with a minimal system with a
partition with testing purpose, and my sighted friend help me looking
some commands results. I installed espeakup screen reader with my
console only system.
This bug is invalid, because the proper module is right loaded. Only I
no hear sound because default the Speaker volume is reduced with 0
percent with this sound card, I don't no why.
When I ran amixer set 'Speaker',0 64 command, I hear right the sound.
Only need do this command with one time and next restart amixer right
stored the new setted volume with the installed system.

If anybody tell me what package need reporting this issue, I welcome do
the proper report. The right package with producing this issue is
alsa-base or alsa-source package?

Attila

The hardware will be initialised with volume of 0 and this needs to be
changed during boot. Presumably that is going wrong somehow.

alsa-utils is responsible for this. I will reassign this bug.

Once a job is fouled up, anything done to improve it makes it worse.
